This paper is designed to provide students with a conceptual and practical understanding of
human and organisational behaviour theoretical frameworks. This will allow students to analyse,
evaluate and reflect on their own interpersonal effectiveness in relation to the dynamics of
behaviour. A particular emphasis is placed on students being able to understand, reflect and
modify their own behaviour in response to others in a diverse organisational and cultural context.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of this paper, successful students will be able to:
1. Explain the dynamics of organisational and human behaviour from a culturally diverse
perspective.
2. Critically evaluate and reflect on their own behavioural effectiveness based on a
conceptual understanding of human and organisational theoretical frameworks.
3. Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and behavioural techniques in group settings.
4. Research, analyse and reflect upon contemporary theories from organisational and human
behavioural perspectives and relate them to their own personal practical applications.

Assessment 2: Group Presentation
Due date and time: Presentation assessments will be conducted in Tutorials week 12
16 th to 20 th Oct.
Assessment brief: A group presentation of 12 – 15 minutes is to be made to the rest of
the tutorial group on a key human or organisational behavioural
dynamic as covered in the paper. Each member of the group is to
take part in the presentation. The presentation must be supported
by a 2-page research document please refer to the instructions
below
Weighting: 20%
Group project and presentation instructions
In groups of 3-5 (max 6) formed from members of your class, you will work collaboratively to
develop a project, which studies a particular dynamic of human and organisational behaviour. The
result of your project will be a presentation by all of your group members, which is a creative
articulation or interpretation of concepts embedded in one of the themes, and include
recommendations from your group for dealing with issues that you have researched in relation to
them.
The issues will be based on themes that emerge from the course content. They will be confirmed
in class.
Your group’s presentation should show the results of your group’s work (in relation to the
designated theme) in the following areas:
? Explanation: Background explanation of the issue
? Interpretation: Analysis of what challenges are presented, and how these relate to
specific concepts of human and organisational behaviour
? Exploration: Problem solving strategies your group have considered and come up with in
relation to the challenges you have identified
You can choose how to present your work; it does not have to be a standard PowerPoint
presentation (discuss your ideas with your tutor). It might be a role-play, short video, artwork,
interpretive dance, or something else. You will present this to your class during tutorial time,
and the presentation should take 12-15 minutes.
Each group must submit an information sheet of 2 pages. Please ensure it includes:
